About the Role


The Corus Radio Division has an exciting opportunity for the position of Program Director responsible for 2 dynamic and fun radio stations in the Winnipeg market.  These stations have some of the best talent in the city, a fun collaborative culture and a winning attitude!  The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:


Responsibilities:


•Management of the Programming Department in Winnipeg: Power 97 and Peggy @ 99.1

•Direct responsibility for ratings growth of the 2 stations

•Leader of an excellent and collaborative station culture

•Fearless development and implementation of detailed strategic and operating plans

•Establishment of performance standards 

•Development and mentorship of direct reports and both heritage talent and rising stars

•Involvement with corporate and radio division personnel to implement broad strategic initiatives at both the market and station level

•Accountability of general administration and human resources issues

•Member of the senior management team


About You


What we need from you:


•Direct experience in successfully managing the Programming department at radio stations

•Experience in coaching and directing on-air talent as individuals and as a team

•A demonstrated understanding of the integration of radio and online as parts of a multi-platform brand

•An understanding of organizational behaviour

•Comfortable with change, in a fast paced, continuously evolving industry

•Willingness to collaborate with all Corus programming resources to share ideas and win
