MBS Radio (Maritime Broadcasting System) is a locally owned and operated group of 24 radio stations across the Maritimes. We are currently seeking a Broadcast Technician to provide support, repair and maintenance services for the technical environment at our Maritime radio stations. This position requires a strong working knowledge of the end-to-end technology and processes associated with operating a radio station.

Applicants should have a strong mix of skills in IT and Broadcasting technologies.

This position is based in Moncton and reports to the Chief Engineer.

Specific areas of responsibilities will include:
- Provide support and maintenance for the company's technical environment ensuring all areas of the operation are functioning effectively.
- Install, support and configure company computing resources including business applications, computer hardware / software and data network.
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of transmitter sites including repairs, upgrades and modifications.
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of studio broadcast facilities including repairs, upgrades and modifications.
- Ensure company facilities and assets are being maintained.

Qualifications:
- Experience with electronic technologies.
- Experience repairing and troubleshooting broadcast studio equipment and systems.
- Transmitter experience would be considered an asset.
- Experience providing support for computers, data networks and software such as MS Office and business specific applications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Windows Server and IP networking. Basic programming knowledge would be considered an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Electronics and/or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Individual needs to be an excellent communicator (written and verbal), customer service focused, extremely detail oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast paced dynamic environment.
- Must be flexible, adaptable and able to prioritize multiple job demands.
- Voracious appetite to learn new things and to be challenged.
- Able to travel throughout the Maritime Provinces.

The Project Manager will ensure the success of all assigned sales projects which includes scheduling of vendor lists and all other activities related to these projects.

Responsibilities:
- Receive all materials from sales teams and their clients and create various online offers promoting clients' products
- Oversee the integration of visual content into our websites via CMS (Content Management System) as well as the production, posting (online) and broadcasting (on-air) of promotional materials (banners, commercials, newsletters, etc.) in collaboration with other departments
- Handle reservations and scheduling for each event and ensure that all materials required for holding an event are acquired prior to the sale date

Skill requirements:
- Education or training in web marketing or related field

Wired 96.3 has an exciting opportunity for a Production Director in Saskatoon. Our last 2 are in the majors (including an internal promotion) so we've come to expect a certain standard. Wired is Canada?s reigning medium market station of the year, outstanding production has a lot to do with it. We're in one of the fastest growing, most vibrant markets in the country and the sound of our station reflects that. We believe in creative ideas and will provide an environment where a Producer can truly create.

Wired is a standalone in Saskatoon, we don't produce spots for 10 different stations. That means a fair work-load with plenty of time for imaging. As Production Director you will play a vital role in the development of the sound and personality of the station.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Station imaging.
- Commercial production.
- Sales/Client liaison.
- Possibility of some on-air opportunities.

Essential Skills and Requirements:

- Computer savvy. We use Audition, Maestro, Wide Orbit & Pro Tools.
- Loves to create as part of a team. Has a vision but welcomes input from others.
- Ability in voicing/narrative.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Producer or Production Director (preferably in a Rock or CHR environment)
- Ability to multi-task/juggle
- Works well with minimum supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installation, setup, maintenance and repair of studio and transmitter site broadcast equipment
- Maintenance of IP network based audio and data systems
- Maintenance of computer workstations working with the Harvard IT Department
- Assisting in broadcast construction projects
- Setting up equipment for remote broadcasts
- 24 hour on call to respond to emergencies
- Participate in departmental and corporate meetings as required.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with RF systems including maintenance of FM broadcast transmitters
- Familiarity with analog and digital audio standards and wiring practices
- Familiarity with IP network wiring and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office computer systems

Duties & Responsibilities:

As a Producer you will be responsible for commercial production, dubbing nationals, and assembling syndicated programming. You will work side by side with both on-air personalities and clients on voicing and producing commercials, station promos, and other projects.

As an on-air Announcer you will be responsible for hosting an entertaining and engaging show, along with updating content on our station website and other social networking sites affiliated with the station (you HAVE to be an active Facebooker and Tweeter). Additional duties include voice tracking, public appearances, doing remotes, and fill-in on all other dayparts.

Skills & Qualifications:

You've kicked it in a radio station production department and have 2-3 years of on-air experience. You have excellent customer service skills (strong verbal and written communication) and boat loads of creativity. You are anal on your production standards even under tight deadlines. You work well with others and also independently.

As an on-air Announcer, you are hip, cool, and have a wicked attitude and sound! You will easily relate to the target audience because you live the lifestyle. In addition, you are detail oriented and possess excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills. You are also familiar with CRTC and CBSC Content Regulations. Familiarity with Adobe Audition 3.0, ProTools 7.1 and Maestro are a definite asset.

- Regular travel to cities across Canada of one to two weeks duration.
- On-site installation and configuration of ENCO DAD radio automation systems on Microsoft Windows servers and desktops.
