A
new license means new jobs and great opportunity
for your broadcast career. CJBP-FM will
launch in the coming months and we are seeking
people for sales, on-air and news positions.
Before
you apply, please familiarize yourself with
Neepawa and Swan River, Manitoba.
We anticipate successful applicants will
first attend our corporate campus in Swan
River for a short time before relocating
to Neepawa for the new station.
We
anticipate hiring at least the first two
on-air positions almost immediately to allow
some time for familiarization with our systems
as we complete the station build in Neepawa.
We expect the sales positions to be open
approximately March.
Your
application should include a current resume,
air check if appropriate, samples of your
work, a list of skills you feel comfortable
with and references. Your cover letter must
include some indication you actually know
where the positions are located, salary
expectations and your own timeline on when
you would be available should you be selected.
Applications without that information will
likely be discarded.
Normally
we shun telephone calls about available
positions, but in this rare instance, I
will accept your calls for clarification
or questions about the operation and if
you would be a good fit. If your goal this
week is to simply apply to a pile of radio
stations and hope to get something –
don’t apply. We are looking for long
term employees with a life plan that involves
broadcasting as a career.
