2023 marks 20 Years of 100.1 Moose FM on the airwaves and your source for local news in Fort St. John.
To celebrate 20 years, we are re-launching the NEW 100.1 Moose FM.
“When a station celebrates a milestone anniversary, it’s a privilege to be a part of that in any
way.” says Moose FM Program Director Chris Walker “But, this is something different. To
work with such a great team, to put every little detail under the microscope, and to
essentially build everything again from the ground up... it’s such a rare and awesome
opportunity.”
You can now expect an earlier start to our morning show! Dub & Catarina will start their
broadcast at 5:30 AM for all you early risers starting their workday at the crack of dawn. This
means you will get your local news and community events the moment you start your
morning.
Over the next twelve months, Moose FM listeners will notice a bunch of changes, while still
Being dedicated to our local community. Expect to hear more great country music, from your essential hits from Garth Brooks, Carry Underwood, Brad Paisley, to up-and-coming artists like Ashley McBryde, Lainey Wilson and Morgan Wade.
“The crazy thing is, this was never really a part of the plan for anyone. I’d only arrived at
Moose FM in October as the first PD that this management team has had. It didn't take long
in working with the current Owner/GM Adam Reaburn when we decided we should just
make a big splash to start the new year and mark the 20th Anniversary of the station.
The station sounds better than ever, the talent and shows we’re adding are awesome, and we can’t wait to show our audience what else we have planned throughout the year”
Moose FM is also introducing some new shows. From Monday to Friday at 6PM, we will air
the Grand Ole Opry Show; an hour long show dedicated to those inducted into the Opry House, like Luke Combs, Lady A, and Alan Jackson. Then on Sundays at 5 p.m., Moose FM is
partnering with Energeticcity.ca to bring their podcasts to our airwaves. These podcasts contain conversations with Indigenous leaders, storytellers, and influential members of the
community, showcasing the real, raw and unaltered history of Fort St. John and beyond.
Also, keep an eye out for the new Moose FM app! Soon, you will be able to tune in from
anywhere you can connect to the web. You will get to know the announcers, get a look
behind the scenes of what we do, and join us at events. It’ll also make it easier to take part in
giveaways, contests and our conversations.
We’re excited for our re-launch and we want you to be a part of it! Join us in 2023 for our
year-long celebration of the new 100.1 Moose FM, still 100.1 percent Fort St. John.
