About the Role:


100.5 Fresh Radio has a rare opportunity within our Programming Department for a full-time Afternoon Drive Host. Reporting to the Program Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for growing our ratings and revenue in the 3pm to 8pm afternoon drive shift. Our preferred candidate is self-motivated, social media savvy, and a positive team player. Someone who is charismatic and thrives on personal marketing and community involvement. Someone who works well independently, and will ambitiously compliment the efforts of a very competitive morning show team that regularly engages on social media, and seeks unique opportunities to market themselves (and the station) outside of the building. The successful candidate will be technically adept and comfortable behind ‘the console’. Understanding that ‘Content Creation is Critical’, we are looking for a creative individual who can get the phones ringing by consistently generate compelling, local and relevant content for Adults 25-54 in a Top 40 music format.

You’ll be working on things like:


• Consistent content curation, show-prep and great storytelling

• Daily content contributions to the station’s website and social media platforms

• Voice-tracking weekend shifts, plus, vacation and sick time coverage (as required)

• Personal marketing for the show and brand at station events & community functions

• Live remote broadcasts (as required)

• Positive participatory role in air-checks, programming and promotional meetings

• Use social media professionally to market your brand and the radio station including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok Any other responsibilities as assigned by management on an on-going basis

What we need from you:


• Must have a minimum 2 to 3 years experience in a similar role

• Must possess a valid Ontario driver’s license with a “clean” driving record - no infractions or convictions. Must be able to provide an acceptable “Driver’s Abstract” upon request

• Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills - able to communicate in English clearly with expression and confidence (on and off the air)

• Must be able to work well independently with minimal supervision and have strong interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of iMediaTouch, Vox-Pro and Burli is considered an asset
