As Durham Radio Inc. grows, we are looking for talented, motivated broadcasters (On-Air, News, Community Cruiser) to join our 'Greatest Hits Of All Time' team in Hamilton.
On-Air Position Description:
Prepare and host live, locally focused radio show & voice track/production as required
Be a part of the community and make promotional appearances when required
Work closely with the Program Director in relation to the station’s ratings and brand growth
Proficiency in social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram)
Representing DRI at community/station events
Position Requirements:
Excellent On-Air skills – Minimum 5 years experience
Knowledge of the ‘Greatest Hits’ format
STRONG organizational / interpersonal skills
Strong social media skills - knowledge of effective use of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram
Experience with on-site broadcasts/remote and event execution
Ability to relate to the local target audience
Valid driver’s license and reliable automobile
Able to work well with a team and individually
A positive, friendly manner and customer service approach
News Position Description:
Preparing and delivering on-air newscasts with emphasis on local Newsmakers.
Posting content to our websites and social media sites.
Position Requirements:
Broadcast experience of at least two yearsKnowledge of local, national and international News
Excellent communication and interview ability
Proficiency in social media
Ability to relate to the local target audience
Valid driver’s license and reliable automobile
Able to work well with a team and individually
A positive, friendly manner and customer service approach
Community Cruiser Position Description:
Co-ordinating and planning the weekly schedule for the Events Cruiser.
Attending Events, and performing live or recorded cut-ins while at each event.
Posting relevant information on Event webpages.
Posting to Facebook and Instagram while attending Events.
Voicing relevant information for the daily Community on-air segments.
Position Requirements:
Excellent communication ability
Proficiency in social media
Valid driver’s license and reliable automobile
Able to work well with a team and individually
A positive, friendly manner and customer service approach
