Announcer – Swing Shift – La Ronge, Sask.
Missinipi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC Network Radio) is looking for a great Radio Host with a fun personality that loves ALL genres of music and is willing to learn and grow with our station.

MBC is Saskatchewan’s Provincial Indigenous radio network, broadcasting via satellite to transmitters in over 60 communities. The position is On Air Swing, Tuesday to Friday evenings, & Saturday mid-day. We are looking for someone who can connect with our listeners, takes the job seriously and will protect our brand and reputation.
On-Air Responsibilities
-Hosting one of our most listened to and interactive shows, “Sask at Nite” weeknights. This includes a request show and interacting with our listeners through phone, text and social media.
-Spend time preparing for a well thought out show to relate, connect, and appeal to our target audience with relevant, timely information.
-Ensure that all content is compliant according to station format and philosophy and complies with all CRTC regulatory guidelines.
-Post engaging social content.
-Other on-air shifts and/or voice tracking, as required.
-Operating on-air board, automation software (EncoDAD), and studio equipment.
-Committing to professional development with regular air checks.
Other Responsibilities
-Training in Traffic Department with Visual Traffic (as backup).
-Update and researching community events for Public Service/Community Calendar.
-Writing station imaging with input from the programming director.
-Commercial voice work and production.
-Public appearances and community involvement, some of which may fall outside of normal working hours.
-Other related duties as necessary.
Qualifications for Announcer:
-Post secondary education in Radio Broadcasting
-Minimum 1 year of Radio Broadcasting Experience
-a working knowledge of EncoDAD On Air system is an asset, but training will be provided
-Working knowledge of Adobe Audition required. Experience with KLZ Newsroom & WordPress is an asset.
-Excellent communication, interpersonal and computer skills
-Professional attitude and disposition towards colleagues and external clients
-Ability to multitask a variety of functions while maintaining a high degree of accuracy under pressure
-Skilled in social media
-Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
