Broadcast Engineering Supervisor - Radio & TV Edmonton, Alberta Lead by the Sr. Manager of Broadcast Engineering, this position is ideal for an independent, dynamic, experienced, hard-working, and innovative Broadcast Engineer with exceptional drive searching for an exciting and challenging opportunity.
• Alongside Sr. Manager of Broadcast Engineering, provide leadership and direction to engineering team. • Supervise the overall technical, in studio, remote broadcast, and transmitter operation for both Radio and Television. • Inspect, maintain, repair, service and modify broadcast facilities including equipment and plant systems. • Provide technical support in response to staff requests and at remote broadcast events. • Ensure constant integrity of station signals. • Liaise with external clients including suppliers, tenants & property management companies. • Maintaining knowledge of current broadcast equipment and technologies. • Independently anticipate the needs of Management and the programming team. Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in Radio Broadcasting Technology / Information Technology • 5 years’ experience in a leadership role • Good working knowledge of electronics, schematics, transmitters, radio broadcast equipment, combined with a high technical acumen • Excellent organization skills, as well as analytical and problem solving skills, with an attention to detail. • Professional attitude and disposition with internal and external clients • Superior judgement, and ability to multi-task a variety of functions while maintaining a high degree of accuracy. • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
