Changes within the Corus Audio Division

Some exciting news within the Corus Audio division that I’m hoping you can share with your readers.

To begin, we’d like to welcome Paul Thomas, our new Toronto Program Director for FM radio, who will oversee programming for Q107 and 102.1 the Edge effective January 6.

Paul is a passionate broadcaster who has worked in Canadian radio for more than 20 years. He most recently served as General Manager for ZoomerMedia’s radio division (The New Classical FM & Zoomer Radio), a position that was the culmination of 17 dedicated years working in the stations' production, programming, and management departments.

He is also the creator and longtime host of The New Classical FM’s popular soundtrack program “Pop Classics”.

Paul is eager to continue working in a market he knows and loves. Growing up listening to these two iconic stations is what makes working with the teams at Q107 and The Edge a “dream come true”; a professional goal of his since he entered Seneca’s radio broadcasting program.

In addition, we want to welcome a familiar face into a brand-new role at 91.5 the Beat in Kitchener. As of January 6, Dave Blezard will join Kat Callaghan as co-host during the morning show slot and will work as Program Manager for the Kitchener/Guelph cluster. Dave and Kat have established their hilarious banter and cohosting relationship over the last couple of months, and we’re sure the duo will make a great permanent addition to our lineup.

Last but certainly not least, we’re excited to share thatStephanie Hunter has expanded her Regional Program Director role to cover our Ontario stations, excluding Toronto. Stephanie’s over 15 years of experience with Corus Radio and strong programming knowledge makes this transition incredibly exciting for our team, and we are grateful for her dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to our stations.
