Wendy Gray Director of News for Vista Radio Ltd. and local Stratford resident invites you to welcome “an old friend” back to Stratford as it rebrands to CJCS FM.
What’s old is new again in Stratford radio. Vista Radio Ltd. is proud to announce that it’s time to “get off the Juice” and today, rebranded 107.1 Juice FM to 107.1 CJCS FM.
CJCS was relaunched as Juice FM when it was converted from an AM radio station to FM in August of 2017.
The CJCS call letters are one of Canada’s oldest and began broadcasting as a community station in 1927. This year marks the station’s 95th anniversary and General Manager, Tracy Lamoureux says the community has always known their radio station as CJCS, “So returning to the original name in an area like Stratford with rich heritage just makes sense”.
The iconic radio station was the launching pad for Lloyd Robertson’s career as well as Tony Parsons, and Bob Bratina.
CJCS FM will remain Stratford’s home for Blue Jays baseball, local news, and information.
Listeners to Classic Hits 107. 1 CJCS FM will enjoy hits from artists like Aerosmith, Bryan Adams, Madonna, Michael Jackson, and ACDC. Program Director Kevin Fell says local news, weather and community information will remain a priority but, “Music is at the core of what we do, we’ve built a music library to be the best Classic Hits of all time.”
Local news and information will still be front and centre at www.mystratfordnow.com.
