Digital and Promotions Leader

Rare opportunity in the Beautiful Okanagan


The Jim Pattison Broadcast Group has a very rare full time opening for someone to lead our promotions and digital department. In this role you would perform a variety of tasks for The Okanagan’s top rated radio stations - 103-1 Beach Radio, Power 104 (Kelowna) and 107-5 Beach Radio (Vernon) including:

• Work with programming and sales to execute digital promotions with a high degree of confidence

• Work closely with programming department to help create viral videos for websites and social media campaigns

• Manage all aspects of promotional campaigns

• Be self sufficient, track down details when necessary

• Manage inventory of prizing

• Attend all major station promotions and client promotions as required (when policies permit)

• Attend / participate in weekly meetings as required

• Schedule booking and executing station contests

• Update / Manage station websites and social media as required


Required skills and qualifications include:

•Previous radio experience would be considered an asset, but not necessary

• Detail oriented

• Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines

• General knowledge of computers and software, including web design programs (SoCast knowledge an asset)

• Strong writing, power-point, photoshop, and oral presentation skills

• A strong understanding of the role of promotions regarding the brand of the station

• Ability to lead and inspire an events crew

• Awareness that radio is a 24/7 medium and willingness to step up outside of the traditional 9-5

• Valid driver’s license
