‘DJs United Against Racism’ on FLOW 93-5 raises over $55,000.00 for Black Health Alliance

TORONTO – Monday July 13, 2020) On Friday July 10th, 2020 FLOW 93-5 and DJ Charlie B presented DJs United Against Racism – a 12-hour commercial free fundraiser to benefit Toronto’s Black Health Alliance.

Thanks to generous donations from the listening audience and Toronto businesses, over $55,000.00 was raised for Black Health Alliance during the event.

DJs United Against Racism featured 25 DJs from across North America donating their time and talent to raise funds for this worthy cause. The final lineup included:

In addition, DJs United Against Racismfeatured interviews with prominent Canadian public figures including: Director X, Hal Johnson, Mike “Pinball” Clemons, Tory Lanez and more.

About Black Health Alliance:

Black Health Alliance is a community led charity focused on improving the health and well-being of Black communities in Canada.  Their mission is to reduce the racial disparities in health outcomes and promote health and well-being for people from the diverse Black communities with emphasis on the broad determinants of health, including racism.

Established in 2000, they have helped to expand community services for Black communities, founding TAIBU Community Health Centre in 2008.  Currently they lead work to remove barriers and increase access to mental health and addictions supports for Black children, youth and their families in six cities across southern Ontario.
