Enterprise Operations TECHNICIAN - Toronto ON

Job Summary

The Enterprise Operations Technician is responsible for taking care of day-to-day operations in our Broadcast Facility, with a focus on the video installation.  The role encompasses installation, set-up, testing, operation, and maintenance of the video infrastructure while also assisting with maintaining our audio infrastructure.

Accountabilities

• Broadcast Engineering (Video and Audio)

  • Installation and configuration of new / replacement equipment

  • Troubleshooting technical issues as they arise

  • Equipment maintenance as required (including preventative maintenance, configuration, testing, inspection, and updating of systems)

  • Maintain a high-standard for broadcast content

• Programming Support

  • Operating video and/or audio equipment in support of live or pre-recorded content creation

  • Become familiar with the roles and duties of the Programming Team so as to be able to support the various roles effectively

  • Provide after-hours remote technical support as assigned

  • Set-up and operate equipment for on-location activities as required

• Additional

  • Attend meetings and functions as required

  • Plan and communicate maintenance work being performed to those potentially impacted

  • Create and maintain equipment and procedural documentation

  • Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Level of Education

·       Completion of college program in broadcast/video technology

Job Related Experience

·       1-3 years of relevant experience in audio/video technology

·       Familiarity with audio and video editing software

Skills and Background

·       Willingness to work flexible hours, and provide on-call technical support

·       Excellent communication skills

·       Composure in completing time-sensitive tasks

·       Experience with both Apple and Microsoft operating systems

·       Attention to detail a must

·       A drive to succeed and to improve
