Humble & Fred Go Independent

Never shy about exploring new technologies, Humble & Fred announced on the air at FUNNY 820 Thursday that they have quit terrestrial radio.

In an interview with TorontoMike.com, Fred Patterson said, "The podcast marketplace has matured to a point where we simply don't need terrestrial radio.”

“Terrestrial radio is an unnecessary and cumbersome layer in our distribution model.

“The fact is, we have far more listeners to our podcast and Facebook livestream than we had on all Bell Media stations combined. Starting February 22, we can stop watching our language, censoring our content and stopping down for radio breaks every 25 minutes. We’re free!”

Fans can tune in live on Facebook M-Th at 7:30am, and the podcast will be available on Spotify, Google, Apple etc. More info at humbleandfred.com.
