JAZZ.FM91 announces their second LIVE Sound of Jazz concert

The 46th season of JAZZ.FM91's Sound of Jazz Concert Series kicked off with a bold statement on February 14th, Valentine's Day, and that statement was, "We're back!"

After these last few challenging years, JAZZ.FM91 was once again happy to invite listeners and supporters to a special evening of great LIVE music at Lula Lounge in Toronto. The sold-out show, aptly titled "A Little Bit of Love', opened with composer and vocalist Denielle Bassels wowing the crowd with the Ewen Farncombe Trio. The Trio then backed up 2022 Juno Award nominee for Best Vocal Jazz Album, Alex Bird.

With the first concert under their belt, JAZZ.FM91 is pleased to announce their second Sound of Jazz concert titled "They Say it's Spring" at Lula Lounge on Thursday March 9th. This show features a performer who four years ago, was on a list JAZZ.FM91 put together called

"Eight Canadian Women in Jazz You Need to Know". Now, Caity Gyorgy is a Juno Award-winner and is a 2023 Juno vocal jazz nominee with a new album release called "Featuring".

"We met Caity in 2019 as a participant in our Jazzology Program when she attended Humber Music and we're humbled to have played a small part in her remarkable journey as an artist. A clever songwriter, rich vocalist and captivating performer, Caity is an award winning Canadian musical force." said JAZZ.FM91's General Manager Dana Wigle.

The 46th Sound of Jazz Concert Series is sponsored by Don Valley North Lexus and Remenyi House of Music.
