Position: Manager, Marketing & Promotions

Hours of Work: Fulltime - 37.5 hours per week. Overtime as required.


Reporting to the Manager, Operations / Program Director, this multi-skilled and motivated individual will be responsible for:

  • Lead the Promotions department for Bell Media Calgary: CTV Calgary, 98.5 VIRGIN Radio, CJAY 92 and Funny 1060AM and creating engaging station promotions on all platforms

  • Develop and manage promotions plans, budget and strategy

  • Manage and support a skilled team of promotions staff

  • Deliver exceptional internal and external customer service

  • Drive local digital and social strategies working with our Digital Content team

  • Work closely with other areas of the business to cross promote and build integration and revenue opportunities

  • Work closely with News Director and Programming Team on priorities, determining and meeting business/ratings objectives

  • Communicate plans with internal departments and external clients and/or suppliers

  • Ensure representation of brands and content is in line with Bell Media Agency Guidelines

  • Liaise with creative teams on production of promotional assets

  • Monitor promotional performance to ensure we maximize results on all platforms

  • Work on priority partnerships and external events. For example; community, charity, festivals, concerts or sporting events

  • Support and represent the brands, Bell Media & BCE initiatives

  • Other duties as assigned


• Minimum 3 years of experience managing promotions activities

• You are a people person with prior leadership experience successfully managing a team

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities & demonstrate agility in changing course

• Proven knowledge of the media business

• Excels in a fast-paced and demanding environment

• Works effectively with various teams, partners and stakeholders

• Ability to develop and execute campaigns from inception through to post mortem

• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, research and make business decisions accordingly

• Thorough, current knowledge of social platforms

• Collaborative, strategic and open-minded

• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
