Midday Host / Morning Show Producer

Indie88 has a rare and unique opening for a Midday Announcer who will also get a chance to work with an incredibly fun, real, and engaged morning show

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Hosting, producing, and operating the daily Midday show from 10:00AM to 2:00PM

• Working collaboratively in creating and producing content for your show

• Bringing your on-air show online through digital content on our website and on social media

• Connecting with the local community through appearances at promotions, remotes, and events

• Lending your voice talent for commercials, imaging and other station duties as needed

• Voice tracking a weekend specialty show

• Working with the morning show from 7:00AM to 10:00AM: Screening calls; booking guests; preparing and posting social and web content; occasional board operating; attending morning show meetings and calls

Here’s what we are looking for:

• A show focused on local that could only originate in Toronto and speaks to a mature, non-stereotypical Alt audience that embraces new music and a variety of genres

• You don’t have to be funny, but the show should be fun

• Getting great callers on air and making the audience a part of the show

• You can speak credibly to the music we play

• Strong knowledge of social media on all relevant platforms.

• Strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
