Morning News Anchor/Reporter
The Jim Pattison Broadcast Group in Saskatchewan and the NOW group of news portals, including #1 paNOW.com, is in search of our next Morning Anchor and Reporter. You’ll work in a digital first newsroom in Prince Albert and have a track record of reporting ‘News Now’ content. You’ll have a welcoming personality and a strong news read to engage our listeners. When you’re not on the desk, you’ll be telling people-focused, local stories and know the difference between writing for the ear and eye. You should value community relationships, allowing you to make the pitch before the news release. This position offers the opportunity to work for a great company in a growing market.
You may be the broadcaster we’re looking for if:
you understand the importance of “local” in local radio
you’re passionate about news in all its forms
you have a degree, diploma or equivalent from a recognized broadcast program
you can present compelling content with personality
you have a strong working knowing of CP style print journalism
you’re adept at all platforms, including engagement on the web and social media
