You mean somebody finally made a Tee shirt and apparel company specifically for RADIO people?
Introducing www.HotMicClothingCo.com “It’s a clothing company FOR radio people BY radio people”- Amanda Madi and Chad & Dawn Erickson It’s happened www.HotMicClothingCo.com has just launched and it’s chock-full of all those fun RADIO SAYINGS, one liners, classic “ON AIR” images and quotes that make us all proud to be working in radio and behind the mic.
From popular and funny sayings like “Don’t Make me use my announcer voice” to “No, I won’t talk like I do on the radio” HOT MIC CLOTHING CO. appeals to each and everyone of us in radio.
We LOVE radio and always wished for cool radio shits but we’re always let down by some lame 1 off from Old Navy.
We’re launching with over 75 designs and will keep updating to keep it fresh. Serving all of CANADA and the USA. FOUNDERS Toronto’s own Radio and VO Star AMANDA MADI and DAWN & CHAD ERICKSON WERE ALL BIT BY THE RADIO & MEDIA BUG AT A YOUNG AGE. Chad grew up in the woods of New Hampshire and Dawn grew up in Agawam, Massachusetts. Their lives collided in 2007 while they were both working at a Clear Channel radio cluster in Hartford Connecticut.Today they live in Western Massachusetts where they still have a passion for radio and media but in different roles then when they met. Chad is a voice over talent and can be heard all over the world on hundreds of Radio and TV Stations.
As for our SHE E O Dawn, after spending almost 20 years between radio promotions and outdoor media sales she left her career in 2018 to stay home and raise their 2 future radio star daughters. Amanda met CHAD while working at Z103.5 in Toronto and have been VO BFF’s ever since voicing many stations all over here in Canada and the US.
The idea for Hot Mic Clothing Co. came about in 2019 on bar napkins over many drinks but didn’t come to fruition until 2021. It is nearly impossible to find any gift for anyone in radio or the voiceover industry. And, if you do, they are tacky. After complaining to Chad about it he responded with “well let’s start a business, Hot Mic Clothing” Dawn laughed at him and thought “yah, okay!" Amanda chimed in with her favorite one liners and BOOM..ideas were flying. Then COVID happened, the world STOPPED… and we had nothing but time to come up with great ideas for building a brand wrapped around all things radio and voiceovers! www.HotMicClothingCo.com
Hot Mic has something for everyone in radio supporting all body shapes and sizes.
