NEWS REPORTER/PRESENTER
Do you like to be involved in the community and get to the heart of a story? Do you love to connect with your audience and be the pulse of your community? Have you sat through a marathon council meeting and lived to tell about it? Do you get a jolt of excitement when a news lead comes across your desk? FM 101 Orangeville has a chance for you to be a leader in our newsroom!
What you’ll do…
· Prepare local stories for afternoon newscasts and post them to our station website
· Be curious about the community and build positive relationships within it
· Perform an afternoon newscast on-air with personality for the station, and other stations as applicable!
· Be a LOCAL star! Represent the station at community events
· Voice tracking where required
· Remotes where required
What we need from you…
· Strive for success not only as an individual but for the entire station
· Good in the halls – meaning you enjoy your job and the team around you
· A can-do, take on the world, get up and go, positive attitude
· Think outside the box – the more creative the better
· Be fun, not boring
· Goal oriented and self-motivated with a high level of initiative
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
