102.9 CHTM FM ( 610 AM) in Thompson, MB has an opening for an on-air position.
We are a small-to-medium market station with a strong community-minded philosophy, serving a listening area of around 60-thousand people.
Our ideal candidate is someone who:
*has completed relevant courses in radio broadcastingand everything it entails.
*can host an energetic and interactive radio show.
*is interested in contributing to our online content (blogging, video, pictures, and other material related to our website and facebook page).
*knows how to work a crowd and is comfortable with public appearances.
*has strong commercial production skills. (Adobe Audition & IMediatouch Production skills are an asset).
*is able to prepare and record ear-catching voice tracks as needed.
*understands that radio isn’t a Monday-Friday 9-5 job and can fill in on other day parts & holiday shifts when required.
*is open minded, versatile, flexible, and understands what it means to work as part of a team.
*will put in the hours needed to make sure the job gets done!
*has strong computer skills both on the air and in the office.
*is dedicated to learning as much about radio broadcasting as possible.
