Position: (Part Time) Live Broadcast Operator

Reports to: Program Director

So you’re obsessed with sports are you? Well if you’re looking for a crash course in live sports, sports talk and sports journalism – the official voice of the Saskatchewan Roughriders delivers that in spades. What do you need bring to the table? You’re a punctual multi-tasker with a keen attention to detail who can juggle multiple audio feeds, hosts, live callers, cut highlights and keep it together under pressure. This is a part-time position in conjunction with our live sport broadcasts and other occasional board-operating duties as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Operate the radio station on-air control room board during programming periods when it is required

· Operate live sports broadcasts as scheduled

· Record and edit sports highlights to air during broadcasts

· Edit and upload podcast segments as instructed

· Verify and reconcile the daily commercial log during your live operation hours

· Dub syndicated features and programs

· Other duties as assigned



Essential Knowledge and Skills:

· Familiar with audio consoles and radio automation

· Digital audio recording and editing

· Must be self-motivated

· Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks

· Must be comfortable with computers and technical operation of equipment

Essential Requirements:

· Written and oral communication skills

· Ability to multi-task with keen attention to detail

· Ability to work non-traditional hours
