Program Director - Collingwood, ON

Max 97.7 Program Director (Full-Time) Collingwood, ON

We’re Max 97.7 – serving Ontario’s #1 four-season vacation destination with the best hits of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. We’ve got a great team at our studios in Collingwood, but it’s just missing one piece – you! Max 97.7 has an opening for a Program Director for our station.

A bit about us:

Bayshore is an independent broadcaster with 9 stations across southern Ontario. The Southern Georgian Bay region is one of the most beautiful parts of Ontario, a year-round home to many, and a vacation destination for hundreds of thousands of others throughout the year. Max 97.7 plays the biggest classic hits for Collingwood and Wasaga Beach, along with extensive local news and events coverage for the area as well.

A bit about you:

Making relevant radio for local audiences is in your blood. You believe in entertaining, but also in informing and educating your audiences about their community and the world around them. You have experience leading and working with a team of professionals to create the best possible radio experience for your listeners. You know that the tiniest details are the difference between a bad show and a good show, and between a good show and a great sohw (point out this typo for bonus marks). You like the idea of working and living in an outdoors enthusiast’s paradise – only 2 hours away from the GTA, but just away from its hustle and bustle.

A bit about the position:

Reporting to Bayshore’s Director of Operations, you will oversee the day-to-day programming, promotional, and operational functions of the radio station. This requires organization, attention to detail, relationship building, people management and talent coaching. You’ll be on-air in a voicetracked capacity regularly, and will occasionally need to fill in a live shift. This role could also grow to include responsibilities for other Bayshore stations as time allows.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years on-air experience and some supervisory experience

- Experience with promotions, voice tracking, and music scheduling are all important

- A proven track record of working with your team – sales, news, and management

- Exceptional organizational skills

- Confident using Scott Studios, Adobe Audition, MusicMaster, Microsoft Office suite, and other broadcast software as necessary

- You must have a valid Driver's License with no restrictions
