Promotions Co-ordinator / Announcer Bayshore Broadcasting Owen Sound, ON (FT)

 

Bayshore Broadcasting is seeking a Promotions Co-ordinator / Announcer to represent several of its radio stations, based out of our head office in Owen Sound. We’re looking for a creative, enthusiastic, versatile and dedicated person that can create and manage promotions in multiple markets across multiple formats.

The next generation of radio promotions has to be all-encompassing – promos need to build audience, build the brand, and build revenue. They require support and buy-in from every department – on-air, sales, creative, and digital.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with teams in all departments to develop and execute on-air and on-the-street promotions with the goal of growing audience, brand awareness, and revenue

- Organize and manage the flow of information between departments to make sure promotions are executed the way they’re meant to be

- Supervise the activities of our community cruisers and a busy list of events for it to attend

- Monitor and supervise the use of our website social media platforms

- Manage on-air and other giveaways of prizing

- Develop and adhere to a promotions budget covering contesting as well as external promotion and marketing

- Voicetracking work on one or more stations, and occasionally hostingremotes or other events as required

- Other duties assigned by Operations Manager

- *Typical week will be Tuesday to Saturday

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum 3 years radio experience

- Experience with radio promotions is crucial, and social media, voice tracking and other radio skills are assets

- You are organized, have a positive attitude, play well with others, and have a passion to succeed

- Upbeat and natural personality, excellent phone and production skills

- Experience with Wide Orbit Automation, Adobe Audition and the MS Office suite are assets

- You should be open to charitable work, public appearances, and community involvement

- You must have a valid Driver's License with no restrictions
