POSITION/LOCATION: Promotions Team Member

POSITION DETAILS:

This is an opportunity to represent some of Winnipeg’s most well-known radio stations including 103.1 Virgin Radio, BOUNCE 99.9 and the new Funny 1290.

We are looking for enthusiastic, personable, and responsible individuals for the station’s street team. Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and Promotions, the successful candidates will represent the station as brand ambassadors at community events, and client & station promotions.

The ideal candidate should have a willingness to learn new roles as needed and an interest in furthering their experience in radio, marketing/promotions, and/or community relations.

HOURS OF WORK: Casual, seasonally dependent.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Greeting and interacting with listeners and clients in an energetic, professional and courteous manner.

· Promoting special events, promotions, activations & contests happening during remotes or live broadcasts

· Posting engaging content on each station’s social media channels during on-site broadcasts/events.

· Equipment transport, set up & tear down at live events

· Helping maintain order and organization of the promotions room, including monthly equipment inventory checks.

· Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Self-motivated, outgoing team player with a positive attitude

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Keen ability to proactively problem solve in any situation

· Must possess a valid driver’s license

· Must be available and willing to work evenings and weekends, including some statutory holidays.

· Must be reliable and dependable

· High school diploma or higher; previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not necessary

· Desire to learn technical aspects of broadcast set ups

· Capable of heavy lifting
