About the Role: 

The Corus Radio division has an exciting and rare opportunity for a full-time Radio Technical Producer in our Hamilton office. Reporting to the Program Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of board operating and social media responsibilities as a technical producer for the Scott & Kat show. Be creative and learn from the best in the business. Wake up early, avoid rush hour traffic, and have the rest of the day ahead of you to enjoy. This is for Scott & Kat, a highly successful pop morning show throughout Southern Ontario. This opportunity doesn't come up very often and is the perfect way to get your foot in the door with this ever-evolving industry.

You will be working on things like:

Smooth, professional board op that meets the standards of a major market

Having knowledge and passion for current pop/social media trends

Interacting with listeners on the text platform

Gather and edit audio to create a consistent soundscape for the show

Record and edit shows to be broadcast on the station

Producing promos and podcasts for shows

Updating the station’s website and social media feeds as required

May require traffic updates and on-air duties

Provide vacation relief for other day parts when necessary

A passion for pop music and lifestyle of the audience

Able to multitask, effectively communicate with staff, and handle high pressure situations

Knowledge of iMediaTouch, Burli, and Adobe.

A positive, friendly manner and customer service approach that will enable the successful candidate to deal with challenging situations.

Detail oriented, accurate, and a quick learner.

Flexibility with working hours and embracing change.
