Regional Sales Manager - Ottawa ON


Job Description


The Evanov Radio Group is seeking a Regional Sales Manager – Ontario East / Quebec.


The selected candidate would report to the Executive Vice President - Sales, the Regional Sales Manager will oversee the sales teams for our four radio stations in the Ottawa, Hudson, and Hawkesbury markets.


The ideal candidate is a strong, developmental leader who is capable to mentor, motivate, and lead our Sales teams. The candidate must possess solid analytical and communication skills and is able to provide value added insights which contribute to optimal decision-making in support of the Evanov Radio Group’s goals and objectives.

Some Responsibilities and Skills, but are not limited to:


  • Growing the skills of each of the direct reports. We need someone who can manage people as individuals and who has a track record of molding talent and coaching them to greatness.

  • Assist in creating and maintaining the highest levels of personal and team productivity with enthusiasm and commitment to exceptional customer service.

  • Effective in-field coaching

  • Conduct regular performance reviews with Account Executives and provide regular feedback.

  • Meet and exceed the station’s local retail and digital sales budgets

  • Help develop and maintain current client’s lists with all Account Executives.

  • Support, promote and implement all Corporate Policies, Initiatives and Standard Operating Procedures and ensure the employees have full understanding and use them effectively.

  • Represent the station and the Evanov Radio Group in the local communities.


Requirements


  • Successful candidate must be a compassionate team builder, with a strong work ethic and can lead by example

  • Helping direct reports advance with their accounts and prospects by providing coaching and ideas in Individual Focus Meetings.

  • Exceptional problem solving and negotiation skills.

  • Creative and strategic thinker.

  • Superior communication, writing and presentation skills.

  • Recruit talent and provide professional development through our select sales processes and philosophies.

  • Demonstrated ability to deal with problems and interpersonal situations with positive results

  • 3 years minimum previous experience in Sales Management

  • Ability to lead a sales team in obtaining sales targets and goals

  • Ability to develop business relationships within the community and be a company/station ambassador.

  • Ability to demonstrate solid problem-solving skills and to prioritize demands and manage expectations

  • Knowledge of industry related software including Radius, SalesPRO and Wide Orbit is an asset.

  • Valid driver’s license.
