Rogers Lays Off CityNews Ottawa Staff / 1310 Shut Down / 101.1 Back To Country Music

Rogers has laid off staff at CityNews 1310/101.1 FM and is abandoning the news format in Ottawa.

Newscasters, producers as well as on air hosts Rob Snow, Sam Laprade and Derick Fage were notified of the change this morning. Reports say that 1310 AM is going off the air permanently - Rogers will return the license to the CRTC.

The Country format formerly on 101.1 FM returns as of 1pm today.
