Ever imagined yourself working in a city where the beach is just a 10 minute drive from the station? Or where the ski hill gets so much snow that almost every day is a pow day?
If you love the idea of living in the BC rainforest, meeting and interviewing important local newsmakers and anchoring the news, we have the great opportunity for you!
This role is for a full-time Senior News Anchor and reporter at our Terrace, B.C. radio station, with job duties spanning not only at our CFNR location, but also to the very first Urban Indigenous radio station in the Lower Mainland, CJNY the Journey in Vancouver.
What do we need from you? A positive attitude and willingness to learn. And a diploma in Broadcast Communications, Journalism or relevant experience previously working in a broadcast news department. This is the perfect role for someone with a nose for news who wants to share the stories of British Columbians with the entire province.
We are an equal opportunity employer, but as part of the Northern Native Broadcasting Corporation, those with Indigenous heritage, First Nations, Inuit and Metis will be strongly considered.
Interested applicants should send a resume, cover letter, links or audio copies of a recent news read, and a sample of their writing for broadcast news, to:
