Stingray Mourns the Loss of Long Time Broadcaster Kerri Wynne MacLeod

It is with profound sadness that Stingray Charlottetown announces the passing of long time Ocean 100 Morning Show Co-Host Kerri Wynne MacLeod. Kerri Wynne launched the Ocean 100 Morning Show in 2006 and quickly became one of PEI’s most beloved Islanders. Her compassion for people, her passion for radio, her listeners and her signature laugh captured the hearts of Islanders from tip to tip.

Stingray Director of Operations, Jennifer Evans says Kerri Wynne will be remembered as an extraordinary broadcaster and talent on PEI. “Kerri Wynne was always her true authentic self on and off the air. The person you listened to every morning was the same person you would meet at the grocery store. She took time to talk and listen to everyone she met and she cared deeply for Prince Edward Island.”

Kerri Wynne’s talent was recognized as one of the best radio personalities across Canada, says Stingray Vice President of Talent of Brands & Content, Steve Jones. “Kerri Wynne had the unique ability to connect with listeners in a deeply personal way. She was a rare talent and she will be dearly missed by our team across Canada, and by the entire Canadian radio industry.”

Ocean 100 will air a special tribute and celebration of Kerri Wynne MacLeod’s broadcasting career and life beginning Tuesday morning at 7:00 am.
