Stingray Pulls Ads From Meta

In response to Meta (owners of Facebook and Instagram) ban on publication of Canadian news stories, Stingray has announced that they are pulling all advertising of their properties from Facebook and Instagram.

"We cannot tolerate Meta’s recent decision to block news from Canadian news media publishers and their potential implications for Canadian news content," Eric Boyko, co-founder and chief executive officer of Stingray said.

Stingray is Canada's second largest broadcast company operating 101 radio stations across Canada. The company also provides SVOD content, 4K UHD television channels, karaoke products, digital signage, in-store music, and music apps.

Other Canadian based advertisers to have suspended advertising with Meta included, The Province Of British Columbia, Federal Government Of Canada, Government of Quebec, City of Ottawa, The Quebec Worker's Union, Quebcor and Cogeco.
