Position:Swing Announcer, Bell Media

Status:Temporary Full Time (8-10 month contract)

Location: Kelowna, British Columbia

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience


Bell Media Kelowna is looking for a full time, temporary, fixed-term, Announcer/ Producer; this is a great opportunity for the right person.We need an energetic broadcaster to can entertain and create an emotional bond with the listener on a number of formats. The position includes voice track shifts on a number of our stations across the province as well as cover holidays in Kelowna.


We're looking for a passionate on air Personality & Social Media butterfly that can run a tight, music filled show and can make the listener feel like a star!We also need someone who knows their way around the production studio and isn’t afraid to learn new things!Plus you get to work and play in Canada’s sunshine capital, Kelowna, BC.Now for the “official stuff”:


Responsibilities:

Regular voice track coverage in a variety of markets

Holiday coverage live shifts

Preparing, planning, and executing a dynamite show that is local and connected

Above average Social Media skills on all platforms

Killer public speaking ability and must love Remote broadcasts and station appearances

Producing programs for insertion on all stations


Skill Requirements:

Must be extremely motivated and a self-starter

The ability to work as part of a team and independently

Strong communication, writing and creativity

Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines

Have genuine interest in current events of the communities that we broadcast to

Post-secondary education in broadcasting, or related experience

At least 2 years on-air experience (outside of school)

Knowledge of Wide Orbit and Music Master definitely an asset

A valid class 5 BC driver’s license (or equivalent)

Strong references


Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
