Two Ontario Colleges Suspend Broadcast Programs

Hamilton's Mohawk College has suspended its journalism program due to decreased enrollment and low graduating numbers.

The college told CBC that it "will support students currently enrolled to help them graduate while anyone expected to enter the first year of the program in September will have to choose another program." Also, Loyalist College in Belleville (Milkman, Class of 89) has announced that the radio broadcasting program is no longer being offered.

A statement on the college's website says simply, "Please note that this program is closed. Applications are not being accepted at this time."
