MBC Radio Creates Missing Person Database

Today (May 5) is Red Dress Day, a National Day of Remembrance and activism honouring the lives of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two- Spirited People.

Often, after a news story is posted on a website regarding a Missing Persons case, especially those involving Indigenous Peoples, the stories get pushed down the list by other news stories, until they slowly slip into the past and become just a memory. However, this is not the case for the families and friends left behind. They are looking for answers and closure.

That is why MBC Radio (Missinipi Broadcasting Corporation) has created a Missing Persons story database and dedicated a separate page on our website, solely for the purpose of keeping these stories more readily available. The database is a collection of news stories from our archives, featuring unsolved Missing Persons cases in Saskatchewan. The stories are all based on information provided to us by law enforcement agencies in the province.

Please go to MBCradio.com and Click on the Missing Persons link. There are also links to missing persons organizations and anonymous tip sites. Someone, somewhere, knows something about what happened to these people. If you know anything about a missing person case, please contact the law enforcement agency in the story.
