Position: News Journalist/Content Creator

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a news anchor, general reporter, and content curator for our Barrie properties. The ideal candidate will deliver compelling and engaging content on-air, and for our websites and social media platforms. You should be curious, intuitive, and have a passion for news. We want someone who can truly connect with our community.

Key Responsibilities:

Generate and write news, sports, and weather content with a focus on local and regional events.

Prepare and post content for the Rock 95, 107.5 Kool FM, and Barrie 360 websites, as well as our social media accounts.

Assist in producing sponsored content for integrated marketing campaigns.

Establish strong relationships with key community individuals.

Attend community meetings, events, and make other public appearances as needed.

Exhibit strong interview skills.

Possess audio and video recording and editing skills, including podcast production.

Flexibility to accommodate mornings, afternoons and evening shifts.
