Pattison Media has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, talented and

team-oriented News Reporter/Morning Co-host looking to advance their career in

broadcasting. Based in Brandon, MB, the successful candidate will have the

following responsibilities:

News responsibilities:

• Lead production of news content for web and radio to enhance the

competitive position for two radio stations.

• Ensure a consistent experience for listeners.

• Good storyteller, in short form.

• Write morning news for both 94-7 STAR and Q Country 91.5.

• Write and voice Agricultural reports.

• Balancing diverse needs of our audience and regional landscape.

• Being highly involved in the community in a news capacity or as a company

representative.

• Daily news reporting and anchoring.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with journalistic practices and principles, codes of conduct and

legal requirements.

• Degree or diploma from a recognized broadcast school.

• Passion for news and likes to have fun in the halls

• Strong on-air presence and writing skills, for on-air and web.

• Strong knowledge of Burli & Wide Orbit.

• MUST have a minimum of 1-2 years Newsroom experience.

• A valid driver’s license

• Authorized to work in Canada.
