Vista Radio is proud to expand its service to Grande
Prairie and the Peace region. With the introduction of new music choices designed for young active
audiences, we’re bringing a refreshed sound to two newly evolved brands on your radio dial.
Starting today, Grande Prairie will hear:
104.7 The Goat, Everything that Rocks!: The kind of rock this city has been missing will be
led by the music of the 90’s and 2000’s. The Goat is built for music fans who like powerhouse
guitars, iconic rock moments and new favorites. Listeners will hear a familiar voice to the city,
now in the mornings with “The Goat’s Morning Breath with Jayson”, a morning show built for and
about Grande Prairie. Later, we’ll get you home with “The Half-Assed Drive Show with Drake”.
David Drake, new to town, but a veteran on the airwaves. And if you loved the sounds formerly
found on this frequency with 2DAYFM look to…
96.3 Sun FM, Grande Prairie’s #1 Hit Music Station!: Relaunched, refreshed and now
delivering hit music to Northern Alberta! Weekday mornings on Sun FM, our city will wake up with
another familiar voice to the city, Tanya Owen, and will host “Mornings With Tanya”. For your
daytime at the office you’ll hear Turner Gentry and then you’ll catch “Drive Home with Ally”,
someone who knows the music better than anyone in the area.
Vista is also proud to continue to deliver local news, information and community connections
through our digital news portal MyGrandePrairieNow.com where you can also listen to digital streams of the two new radio stations.
Vista President Bryan Edwards says “We are excited to bring these TWO new sounds to the city.
The format evolution on 96.3 FM was approved through the previous ownership Golden West’s CRTC
application process before Vista Radio became the owner. As part of this new chapter, we are proud tocarry this approved license forward, with renewed investment in local programming, expanded audience reach for advertisers, and a commitment to serve more voices across Grande Prairie and the Peace region”
Vista Radio is proudly 100 percent Canadian owned, employing more than 300 local media professionals
across the country, investing in news, technology and programming that supports the communities we
broadcast in. With this new sound in Northern Alberta, we reinforce our commitment to keeping radio meaningful in the places it matters most, small towns, regional centers and communities that live local first.
