JAZZ.FM91 is proud to announce the launch of its 13th annual Holiday Heroes Instrument Drive, an award-winning community initiative that brings the joy of music to those who need it most. This year’s campaign runs now through Thursday, December 18, 2025, and invites the public to donate gently used musical instruments to support music education in local schools.

In partnership with Long & McQuade Musical Instruments, the Toronto District School Board’s Centre of Excellence for Black Student Achievement, and Firemen Movers, JAZZ.FM91 is working to ensure that every donated instrument finds a new home where it can inspire the next generation of musicians.

“This year, we’re thrilled to collaborate with the TDSB’s Centre of Excellence for Black Student Achievement to ensure that donated instruments are placed directly into schools where they’re most needed,” said JAZZ.FM91. “Your gift will have a real and immediate impact on students, classrooms and communities.”

How to Donate

Community members are encouraged to donate musical instruments in good repair at one of the following drop-off locations:

  • JAZZ.FM91 Studios

4 Pardee Ave., Unit 100, Liberty Village

    Tuesday–Thursday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Long & McQuade – Bloor Street West

    925 Bloor St. W

    During regular store hours

The deadline for donations is Thursday, December 18, 2025.

Instruments Needed

Donations of the following instruments are especially welcomed:

  • Drums and percussion (drum kits, cymbals, hardware, sticks, hand drums, shakers, congas, etc.)

  • Steel pan

  • Brass (trumpet, trombone, French horn, baritone, tuba)

  • Woodwinds (flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, bassoon)

  • Strings (violin, viola, cello, double bass)

  • Electronic keyboards

  • Guitars, basses and ukuleles

Thanks to the generous support of Long & McQuade and Firemen Movers, all donated instruments will be safely transported, refurbished where needed, and delivered to their new homes within the TDSB community.

This holiday season, help us ensure more students have the opportunity to learn, play and grow through music. Your donation can change a life — and keep the music playing for years to come.
