JAZZ.FM91 presents an Oscar Peterson Day Live to Air Celebration

August 15th, JAZZ.FM91 celebrates Oscar Peterson Day.

Toronto comes together to celebrate the extraordinary legacy of Oscar Peterson—one of the greatest jazz pianists and musicians of all time. The day is dedicated to Peterson's remarkable artistry, innovation, and lifelong love of his craft, celebrating the profound impact his music continues to have on audiences at home and around the world.

Oscar Peterson Day is an opportunity to honour his enduring contribution to Canadian culture and the global jazz community, with music and programming highlighting his extraordinary body of work and lasting influence on the world of jazz. 

At 2 p.m., JAZZ.FM91 goes Live-to-Air with a special performance featuring an exceptional ensemble of Canadian jazz artists coming together to celebrate Peterson's music and enduring influence. Featured performers include:

• Sean Nimmons-Paterson – Music Director / Piano

• Kevin Turcotte – Trumpet

• Ethan Ardelli – Drums

• Jon Maharaj – Bass

• Alana Bridgewater – Vocals
