Marketing Specialist - Waterloo ON

FM 985 CKWR is on the search for a dynamic sales and marketing professional to join our Waterloo Region Sales Team as a Marketing Specialist.  A Sales Hunter with proven sales success and a record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets through a customer-centric approach.

Your primary task will be to prospect businesses across Waterloo Region developing new marketing opportunities.  In addition, you will work with an existing list of valued advertisers to grow your sales revenue.

 To be successful you will -

Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets by prospecting business and industry from across Waterloo Region and grow an existing base of clients

Conduct Client Needs Analyses to qualify your new business prospects

Develop creative and revenue-generating strategies to drive sales and attract prospective clients

Provide outstanding customer service to both new and existing clients bringing a consultative approach

Negotiating campaign buys while ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes that align with client needs and company objectives

Write and deliver professional and comprehensive sales presentations

Collaborate with our internal teams including Traffic, Production and Creative

Manage your sales activity inside a CRM to efficiently track your success

Balance multiple client accounts and priorities while managing deadlines effectively

Network to foster new relationships and participate in ongoing marketing efforts

  Requirements -

Media sales experience preferred; radio advertising experience is an asset

Education in Sales and Marketing with Office 365 experience

Excellent written and Verbal communication skills

Ability to problem solve, handle objections and think creatively

A valid Ontario Drivers’ License and access to a reliable automobile are required
