About the Role:

The World Famous CFOX, Rock 101, CKNW and AM 730 have an exciting opportunity for a Promotions Manager in Vancouver. Reporting to the National Director of Promotions, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing station promotions, marketing efforts, and sales promotions.


You will contribute by: 

▪ Creating and implementing engaging station and sales promotions for The World Famous CFOX, Rock 101, and CKNW.

▪ Developing and managing marketing plans, budget and strategy, utilizing external and internal assets.

▪ Liaising with creative teams on production of marketing and promotional assets.

▪ Managing and executing national promotions locally.

▪ Liaising with the digital team and promotions coordinators on social strategies, content and reporting.

▪ Writing creative briefs for marketing campaigns, activities and creative assets.

▪ Creating and implementing promotional campaigns for key calendar dates.

▪ Helping to drive revenue through station promotions, handling all sales promotional requests and attending client meetings or pitches, as required.

▪ Working closely with other areas of the business to cross promote and build integration opportunities.

▪ Ensuring all on-air talent are informed of campaigns, promotions and events.

▪ Actively participating in research, including building and implementing action plans based on insights.

▪ Managing and motivating a team of 2 promotional coordinators and hiring/training street team staff.

▪ Working closely with the Program Director on priorities and determining and meeting ratings and business objectives.

▪ Communicating plans with internal departments and external clients and/or suppliers.

▪ Leading priority partnerships and external events i.e. festivals, community, charity, concerts or sporting events, and brand and contra partnerships.

 

Skills and experience you bring:

 

▪ Post-secondary education in radio broadcasting or broadcast communications or equivalent.

▪ Experience managing a team, with 5 + years’ experience in Promotions or Marketing.

▪ Radio or media background as asset.

▪ Ability to lead and execute stand-out promotions and marketing campaigns on all platforms.

▪ Creative brand builder with big ideas and equally skilled in execution.

▪ A positive attitude with a passion to want to win.

▪ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

▪ Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

▪ At ease multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.

▪ Full driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract.
