103.5 (CIDC-FM) and Multi-lingual AM530/CHLO are pleased to announce the success of The 4th Annual

Princess Margaret-ECI Radiothon, held last week at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Thanks to the generosity of listeners, sponsors, and community partners, the event raised over $57,000 in support of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation and its mission to create a world free from the fear of cancer.

Paul Evanov, President & CEO of Evanov Communications Inc., expressed his gratitude:

“We are incredibly pleased with what was achieved last Wednesday - both in raising critical awareness and in generating meaningful funds to support world-leading cancer care and research. This Radiothon is a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with

heart, purpose, and generosity. I want to thank our listeners, sponsors, partners, and every member of the Evanov Communications and Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation teams who made today possible. This was truly a collaborative effort, and we are proud to stand alongside those working every day to improve and save lives.”

This year’s Radiothon featured live programming across Evanov stations Z103.5 and AM530 CHLO, with on-air personalities Melanie, Tony Monaco, The Hammer, and Navi Sidhu and hosts from Punjabi Lehran. The broadcasts amplified survivor stories, highlighted the groundbreaking research underway at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and inspired the community to join the fight against cancer.

A representative from The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation added:

“2 in 5 Canadians will face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, and by 2050, it is projected that new cancer

cases will surge globally by 77%,” said Steve Merker, Vice-President, Corporate and Community Partnerships at The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. “Z103.5, AM530, and their long list of on-air talent helped amplify the voices of survivors, supporters, and brought us one step closer to the next breakthroughs in early detection, innovative treatments, and comprehensive support, all of which improve patient outcomes. We are so grateful to everyone who helps Carry The Fire!”

Listeners and supporters are reminded that donations continue to be accepted - not only now, but year-round.

Ongoing contributions help sustain life-saving cancer research, clinical trials, and patient programs well beyond the Radiothon broadcast.

Evanov Communications extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who tuned in, donated, participated, and helped make the 4th annual Radiothon another meaningful and impactful community event.
