The Role

Windspeaker Radio Network is looking for an Assistant Audio Producer / Community News Reporter in our Calgary office.

If you are a natural storyteller, interact well with listeners, enjoy traveling and have some broadcasting experience, WE want to hear from you!

This is a full-time position.

Based in Calgary, this dual role requires an ambitious self-starter with a responsible service-minded attitude, who is genuinely interested in the community. You will be working as part of a regional team of hardworking, dedicated reporters and on-air staff, with local and remote supervision and support.

Production

Collaborate with Account Executives to bring ideas to life on-air and online

Record voices and produce commercials & in-house programs, promos, and station imaging for all Windspeaker Radio network stations

Multimedia Journalist

Newscasting, field and desk reporting

Creating multimedia news content for Windspeaker Radio Network Stations, websites and our social media platforms

Research & Write news stories for on air, and websites

Represent radio stations at community events

On-Air

Fill in on-air hosting duties as necessary

Available for Remote Broadcasts and Station appearances
