Dallas Smith’s “Wastin’ Gas” jumps 4-1 on the Country Airplay chart with the biggest spin increase at the format for the second straight week. With 1233 detections this week, it sets the record for most detects in one chart week at the format. He is the 7th Canadian artist to reach No. 1 on the Country chart in the BDS era and the song is the 14th from a Canadian artist to reach No. 1 at the format in the BDS era, and the first since Dean Brody’s “Bounty” in November 2013.

British rock duo Royal Blood pick up their first number one song as “Figure It Out” jumps 2-1 on the overall Rock chart. The song vastly improves on the No. 35 peak of their first charted song, “Out Of The Black.” It is the first chart-topper at the format for a first time charted artist since Kongos’ “Come With Me Now” spent three weeks at No. 1 in March.

Seether’s “Same Damn Life” jumps 3-1 on the Mainstream Rock chart. Four of their last five releases have now reached the top of the format.
