Jacqueline Hansen joins Global News as new Senior Business Editor and Anchor

Global News is excited to announce that Jacqueline Hansen has joined its team as the new Senior Business Editor and Anchor, beginning today, June 22.

Jacqueline brings nearly 15 years of journalism experience, where she's covered some of Canada's foremost economic stories, helping audiences understand the trends that influence Canadian businesses, investors and households. 

Most recently, she hosted The Close on BNN Bloomberg, leading daily coverage of market developments and the economic forces behind them. Prior to that, she spent more than a decade at CBC News as a Senior Business Reporter, where she delivered business coverage across the broadcaster's national television, radio, and digital platforms. She later returned to CBC as a national anchor.

Growing up on Vancouver Island, Hansen developed a passion for making complex economic stories accessible and relevant to Canadians. She is recognized for connecting major business and economic developments to their real-world impact on families, workers, and businesses across the country.
